Introduction to WedsIn's Services: WedsIn offers a unique matchmaking service that combines traditional astrological compatibility analysis with modern compatibility assessment. Our primary goal is to help our users build healthier and happier relationships. To achieve this, we not only provide in-depth compatibility analyses but also educate our members about their core values and needs using different models. Additionally, we've introduced an E-quiz, a self-analysis tool curated specifically for our members.

This includes personal information in relation to your personal details, photographs, location as well as certain information in relation to local jurisdictions which might be considered sensitive. We also obtain your calendar access, your interests, tastes, preferences, likes & dislikes.
In order to provide curated self-help tools, you can take multiple quiz forms to gain a deeper understanding of your values. These are in relation to your reaction or preferences in different types of situations and you can change your responses over time.
We might collect this data from you, your relatives, family or friends or agencies who register with us to find suitable matches for their clients.
1.1. “Personal information” (PI) - means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person including common identifiers such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person and any other information that is so categorized by applicable laws.
We collect information about you and/or your usage to provide better services and offerings.

When you complete your profile, you can share with us additional information, such as details on your personality, family details, contact address and other details about you, as well as content such as photos. To add certain content, like pictures or videos, you may allow us to access your camera or photo album. Some of the information you choose to provide us may be considered “special” or “sensitive” in certain jurisdictions, for example your ethnic origins, religious beliefs, sub caste, physical and mental conditions. By choosing to provide this information, you consent to our processing of the information., when the you sign up as a member or you set up an alert on the Platform, we may reach out to you as per your settings;
Information that one would usually include in a matrimonial profile, including name, contact details such as e-mail address and mobile number, date of birth, educational qualifications, data relating to your current employment, income photographs, visa and work status etc. when you register on the Platform;
Information about the services that you use and how you use them, including log information and location information, when you are a user of the services through the Platform;
We may collect your Personal Information such as name, age, contact details, preferences, etc. through surveys and forms, when you choose to participate in these surveys etc;
We may collect your documents on age, address, income etc. for verification purposes to provide additional credibility to your profile.

When you communicate with WedsIn or use the Platform to communicate with other members (including advertisers, Users (such as partners), we collect information about your communication and any information you choose to provide;
To the extent permitted by law, WedsIn may record and monitor your communications with us to ensure compliance with our legal and regulatory obligations and our internal policies. This may include the recording of telephone conversations.
We may collect your and your partner’s information such as but not limited to name, gender, date and time of birth, city, state, country and email if you avail our horoscope services.

When you visit the Platform, we use cookies to automatically collect, store and use technical information about your system and interaction with our Platform;

Our Services help you find prospective matches find and are found for love and marriage or wedding related purposes, to stay informed about the latest trends, get educational self-help tools for relationships and be more productive.
The information we possess about you is employed to furnish and personalize our Services, utilizing automated systems and inferences we draw. This approach ensures that our Services, including advertisements, can be more pertinent and beneficial to both you and other users.

· Conducting market research and surveys with the aim of improving our products and services.
· Sending you information about our products and services for marketing purposes and promotions;
· Preventing, detecting, investigating and taking action against crimes (including but not limited to fraud and other financial crimes), any other illegal activities, suspected fraud, or violations of the Platform’s Terms of Use in any jurisdiction

2.2 Our premium services:
Our premium Services help paying users to search for and contact Members through our Services, such as searching for and contacting prospective brides/grooms, get access to additional self-help tools curated for the users and promote their profiles on the app.
2.3 Communications:
We contact you and enable communications between Members. We offer settings to control what messages you receive and how often you receive some types of messages.
2.4 Advertisements:
We serve you tailored ads both on and off our Services. We offer you choices regarding personalized ads, but you cannot opt-out of seeing other ads.
2.5 Marketing:
In addition to advertising our Services, we use Members’ data and content for invitations and communications promoting membership and network growth, engagement and our Services, such as by showing your connections that you have used a feature on our Services.
2.6 We develop our Services and conduct research

We use data to generate insights that do not identify you. We use your data to produce and share insights that do not identify you. For example, we may use your data to generate statistics about which type of members would you like or what kind of self-help tools would be most recommended for you.

3. How does WedsIn share your data
Your profile will be visible to the people as per your preferences. At any point, you can change your preferences through Settings.

Our use of your personal data depends on the purpose for which you interact with us. We may process your Personal Information for the following purposes:

· SMS from WedsIn: By registering you give us permission to send you SMS notifications. If you wish to not receive them, please mail us at team@wedsin.com Your geolocation: We will share your current location to make it insightful for our users who may live or work nearby. We will never share your zip code with other users of WedsIn. You can choose to share your geolocation, which is necessary to see which other users of WedsIn are nearby at any given moment. Your geolocation will be shared with other users who have shared their geolocation. Please note that we never share accurate geolocations with WedsIn users – the accuracy is limited to 0.5 kilometres at the most.
· Your date of birth: Your date of birth is used to calculate your age, which will be visible on Your Account. Photos you upload: While creating Your Account, it is necessary to upload pictures of yourself and to select a display picture for your account. We may use an external face recognition tool and other techniques to select the best pictures for Your Account. This selection may be based on features like image quality, composition and authenticity. Images uploaded by you may be modified by us to make them more presentable on the platform.
· New pictures uploaded by you will be reviewed before they appear on Your Account. The pictures that you upload will be displayed to other users. Your Avatar or other photos may also be included in email messages from WedsIn to other users, if WedsIn considers you to be a good match with that user. Your Account, including pictures might be displayed on the homepage of WedsIn for public viewing with your consent.
· Your chat messages and other written content: Your chat messages are strictly confidential and is only processed in order to give you access to your chat-history. Please note that we do use filter software and techniques that notifies us of chat messages with inappropriate content (e.g. derogatory or aggressive language, or unlawful use of our platform for advertisements or link-building.) After such notification we reserve the right to erase the offensive content. This is applicable to other written content you post on WedsIn such as on My Story and My Date Idea[pp1] .
· Your customer service history: If you contact our customer service team, we keep a record of your correspondence with us, in order to optimize our service for you. Non-personal data: We may also process non-personal data whenever you use our website or app. This data may include your browser type and version, the type of your computer or mobile device and technical information about your means to connect to our Websites (such as your operating system and platform and the utilized internet service providers).
· Push notifications from WedsIn: If you have given us explicit permission, we will send you push notifications via our App to inform you about your membership status and to notify you of new messages you have received and other activity with regard to Your Account. We may also send you push notifications with suggestions of people you might like and other promotional material.
· Inviting friends If you refer a friend to WedsIn, you will send an email message, Whatsapp message, SMS Messenger message to the contact details you submitted to us. We won't share these details with anyone else. By choosing to invite your friend to join WedsIn you confirm that your friend is happy to receive the invitation. You also hereby agree to indemnify and hold WedsIn harmless from all claims arising out of your messages to any person through WedsIn. You must and will not use our invite friends feature to send spam.
· Preventing, detecting, investigating and taking action against crimes (including but not limited to fraud and other financial crimes), any other illegal activities, suspected fraud, or violations of the Platform’s Terms of Use in any jurisdiction

4. Cookies & Other Tracking technology
Some of our web pages utilize "cookies" and other tracking technologies. A "cookie" is a small text file that may be used, for example, to collect information about web-site activity. Some cookies and other technologies may serve to recall Personal Information previously indicated by a user. Most browsers allow you to control cookies, including whether or not to accept them and how to remove them.

Tracking technologies may record information such as Internet domain and host names; Internet protocol (IP) addresses; browser software and operating system types; clickstream patterns; and dates and times that our site is accessed. Our use of cookies and other tracking technologies allows us to improve our Platform and the overall website experience. We may also analyse information that does not contain Personal Information for trends and statistics.

Your Personal Information is collected and processed by WedsIn based on the following legal grounds depending upon the nature of Personal Information and the purposes for which it is processed.
Consent: WedsIn relies on your consent in order to process your Personal Information in certain situations. If WedsIn requires your consent to collect and process certain Personal Information, as per the requirements under the applicable data protection laws, your consent is sought at the time of collection of your Personal Information and such processing will only be performed where consent is secured.
Compliance with a legal obligation: Your Personal Information may be processed by WedsIn, to the extent that such processing is necessary to allow WedsIn to comply with a legal obligation. An example of this would be if WedsIn is required to disclose your Personal Information to respond to a court order or if WedsIn is required to retain specific records for a fixed period to comply with requirements under any applicable law.
6. Your choices & obligations
6.1: Data retention:
Your Personal Data is retained no longer than strictly necessary or as long as allowed by law, whichever is shorter. In the event that you have not logged in to your profile for five years[pp2] , your Personal Data may be erased from our records. Of course, you can always contact our support team through your registered email address with a request to delete your data from our records.
We generally retain your personal data as long as you keep your account open or as needed to provide you Services. This includes data you or others provided to us and data generated or inferred from your use of our Services.
6.2: Rights to access and control your personal data
You can [pp3] access or delete your personal data. You have many choices about how your data is collected, used and shared.
6.3: Account closure:
We keep some of your data even after you close your account. If you choose to close your Linkedin account, your personal data will generally stop being visible to others on our Services within 24 hours. We generally delete closed account information within 30 days of account closure, except as noted below.
We retain your personal data even after you have closed your account if reasonably necessary to comply with our legal obligations (including law enforcement requests), meet regulatory requirements, resolve disputes, maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse

The security and confidentiality of your Personal Information is important to us and WedsIn has invested significant resources to protect the safekeeping and confidentiality of your personal data. When using external service providers acting as processors, we require that they adhere to the same standards as WedsIn does. Regardless of where your Personal Information is transferred or stored, we take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that personal data is kept secure.
By accepting the terms of this Privacy Policy, you agree that the standards and practices being implemented by us are reasonable and sufficient for the protection of your Personal Information.
8. Other Important Information
8.1 Storage and transfer of your personal data:
Your personal data may be hosted by our storage partners in servers located in countries other than your country of residence. You can also view, edit or delete your Personal Data by logging in to your WedsIn account. To protect loss of data due to natural disasters and other such unforeseeable circumstances, we store your details as backup for a safety retention window of up to three years following account deletion. During this period, account information will be retained although the account will of course not be visible on WedsIn anymore. When you delete your account, your personal data is deleted after this retention window. We only retain your email address and phone number in order to be able to contact you with regard to payment matters. For internal use, we may store generic, non-personal data regarding your activity as a user (number of people invited, number of logins, term of your subscription, payment method, etc.).
8.2: Minors:
WedsIn shall not collect data from minors. Should a Member lie about his/her date of birth, and particularly if he/she fraudulently claims to be over 18 years of age, the parents of the minor in question should inform WedsIn of this by sending an e-mail to team@wedsin.com., requesting the data to be deleted. WedsIn commits to deleting all data on the minor in question as soon as possible.
8.3: Consent for data:
When registering, the Member expressly consents to his/her data being transmitted to WedsIn service providers and subcontractors outside of the Member's country of residence, to let WedsIn run statistical studies, support users, and if need be, host data processed by the Application.
8.4: Confidentiality & Security:
WedsIn guarantees that the transfers are made under conditions ensuring the confidentiality and security of the data and providing an adequate level of protection in compliance with regulations.
We implement security safeguards designed to protect your data, such as HTTPS. We regularly monitor our systems for possible vulnerabilities and attacks. However, we cannot warrant the security of any information that you send us. There is no guarantee that data may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any of our physical, technical, or managerial safeguards[pp5] .
We may disclose your personal information in the event that we sell or buy any business or assets, in which case we may disclose your personal information to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets to identify, contact or bring legal action against you if you are violating our terms of use or other rules or if we believe you are causing injury or interference with the rights of users, the general public or WedsIn if we or substantially all of our assets are acquired by a third party, in which case personal information held by us will be a part of the transferred assets if we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal information in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order to enforce or apply our terms and other agreements or to protect our rights, property, or safety of our customers, or others

WedsIn does not store any account related information or any credit / debit card details. WedsIn shall not be liable for any loss or damage sustained by Users as a result of any disclosure (inadvertent or otherwise) of any information concerning the User's account, credit cards or debit cards in the course of any online transactions or payments made for any products and/or services offered through the Platform.
In case any Personal Information is shared by you with WedsIn, which is not requested by WedsIn during registration, (whether mandatorily or optionally), WedsIn will not be liable for any information security breach or disclosure in relation to such information.

8.8 Changes to privacy policy
WedsIn reserves the right to update, change or modify this Privacy Policy at any time. The Privacy Policy shall come to effect from the date of publication of such update, change or modification
8.9 Social Media
WedsIn operates channels, pages and accounts on some social media sites to inform, assist and engage with customers. WedsIn monitors and records comments and posts made on these channels about itself in order to improve its products and services.
Please note that you must not communicate the following information to WedsIn through such social media sites:
Sensitive personal data including (i) special categories of personal data meaning any information revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, or trade union membership, and the processing of genetic data, biometric data for the purpose of uniquely identifying a natural person, data concerning health or data concerning a natural person's sex life or sexual orientation and (ii) other sensitive personal data such as criminal convictions and offences and national identification number ;Excessive, inappropriate, offensive or defamatory content.
WedsIn is not responsible for any information posted on those sites other than the information posted by its employees on its behalf. WedsIn is only responsible for its own use of the Personal Information received through such sites.
8.10 Controlling your personal information
You have the right to invoke your rights which are available to data principals or data subjects (as per applicable laws and regulations) in relation to your Personal Information which is being processed by WedsIn.
WedsIn provides you the ability to keep your Personal Information accurate and up-to-date. If at any time you would like to a) rectify, update or correct your Personal Information; b) obtain confirmation on whether or not your Personal Information is processed by it; c) access your Personal Information or exercise your right to data portability; or d) exercise your right to restrict the continuing disclosure of your Personal Information to any third party by WedsIn in certain circumstances, you are requested to contact us using the contact details mentions below. We will require you to provide a valid proof of your identity, in order to ensure that your rights are respected.
For the exercise of certain rights, you may be required to approach the relevant authority / designated officer as per the provisions of the applicable data protection laws.
WedsIn may in accordance with the provisions of applicable data protection laws; charge a fee for fulfilling your request, in particular in case of excessive or manifestly unfounded request. Further you acknowledge that the abovementioned rights are not absolute and are subject to limitations as per the applicable data protection laws.
8.11 Third party services
Third Party Services: Third parties provide certain services available on the Platform on its behalf. Platform may provide information, including Personal Information and special/ sensitive personal information, that the Platform collects from its users to third-party service providers to help us deliver programs, products, information, and services. Service providers are also an important means by which the Platform maintains its services and mailing lists.
We restrict access to your Personal Information to employees who we believe reasonably need to know/or that information to fulfil their functions to provide, operate, develop, or improve our products or services.
WedsIn does not disclose, transfer or share your Personal Information with others except with:
Our affiliates and group companies to the extent required for our internal business and/or administrative purposes and/or general corporate operations and for provision of services;
Third parties including enforcement, regulatory and judicial authorities, if we determine that disclosure of your Personal Information is required to a) respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims; or b) investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of Platform’s Terms & Conditions or as otherwise required by law;
In the event of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets or any other situation involving the transfer of some or all of WedsIn ’s business assets we may disclose Personal Information to those involved in the negotiation or transfer.
Third party service providers and marketing partners that WedsIn engages to a) provide services over the Platform on WedsIn’s behalf; b) maintain the Platform and mailing lists; or c) communicate with you on WedsIn’s behalf about offers relating to its products and/or services. WedsIn will take reasonable steps to ensure that these third-party service providers are obligated to protect your Personal Information and are also subject to appropriate confidentiality / non-disclosure obligations.
Third party advertisers to display advertisements to you when you visit the Platform. The third-party advertisers include financial service providers (such as banks, insurance agents, stock brokers and mortgage lenders) and non-financial companies (such as stores, airlines, and software companies). These companies may use information about you and your visits to this Platform and other web sites to provide advertisements on this Platform.
The Company does not provide any Personal Information to the advertiser when you interact with or view a targeted advertisement. However, if you interact with or view an advertisement, the advertiser may make certain assumptions and, in the process, learn certain Personal Information about you. For instance, if you view and click an advertisement that is targeted towards women in the age group 18- 24 from a specific geographic area, the advertiser may assume that you meet the relevant criteria.
WedsIn does not intend to transfer Personal Information without your consent to third parties who are not bound to act on WedsIn’s behalf unless such transfer is legally required.
If your Personal Information is transferred outside India, we take the necessary steps to protect your Personal Information in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
